Today I get the pleasure of reviewing one of One Direction’s limited edition make up collection. I received the ‘Up All Night’ collection. If you’re interested in information on the two other collections, please feel free to visit my previous entry announcing that I would be taking part in this campaign. So first, let’s take a quick review of this product:

Now lets take a look at what it looks like and my unboxing of the items:

My first impressions of this box are that the colors are very vibrant and appear very nice. They’re not necessarily my colors, but they’re nice.

So the lipstick, it’s very matte and pink. I’d call it a barbie doll pink. I found it very dry on my lips and the only thing that saved it was when I used the lip gloss over it. The lip gloss is nice and sparkly, has a nice pink color to it. Works well on its own, or with the lipstick like I already said.

The Eye Shadows upset me. I love pigmentation, but sadly they don’t come across as bright as I’d like. But that’s just my preference, I believe others would love the light color and tint it gives. Probably works best with using an eye primer.

The Chubby Eye Pencil is actually really nice. The dark denim blue color is amazing. It applies easily, and seems to last. I’d prefer it as a normal size pencil, but where it doubles as a body pencil it’s pretty wicked.

The Little Black Dress mascara was nice. It was very sticky feeling when first applied but once it dried it was fine. It didn’t feel heavy, and my lashes weren’t clumped together. Seems like a real winner for mascara. And I’m hard to please with mascara!

The nail polish… I had originally done a clip to show me painting it on one of my nails. However, the video didn’t really work out and I didn’t include it in the next one. The color is very pretty. It’s semi-opaque with a thin coat, and if you add more it becomes more and more opaque. It’s a beautiful aqua-blue metallic polish. This color would do well standing on its own.

I don’t honestly use stencils or draw on my body anymore. I used to (a lot) when I was younger. Here’s a picture of gel pens from school. Or how about my crazy eyeliner addiction? At it’s final evolved form as well. I’ve always freehanded my art on my face and body but I can see how stencils would be a lot of fun!

All in all, I think it’s a pretty awesome kit. I probably would have never bought it for myself, where I’m not a One Direction fan. So I hope this helps with anyone curious about this (even if you aren’t a One Direction fan) and if you have more questions, as always let me know! Please be sure to check out my video of using the products below for a more visible part of any of my complaints or to see the colors in action.

This video is not intended to be taken as a make up tutorial, as it wasn’t intended as such. I am not a make up artist, and would never put anything out there to suggest others use my techniques or my personal likes. If you like it, please feel free to go along with it, but I just want you to be aware it is not a tutorial for anything. It’s simply me applying the products to demonstrate them.
