}022{ Moment of Truth

Hey Gang!I feel like I have abandonded many of you since I don’t write as much. I’d like to say I had some really great reasons for not, but I don’t. I’ve been really drained recently with my position (as I’ve mentioned in the past) and working nights leaves me wanting to do nothing. I will state, that I have not been doing many different things either, so I can’t really review new things. I’ve got a few video games I could review (Ragnarok 2, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fire Emblem: Awakening…) but I feel like I suck at them and don’t really have a good reason to post about them, haha.

However, that is not what this post is about. I’ve fought for awhile about the identity I use for this blog, and I’ve decided that I can use it for more good than not if it’s out in the open of who I am.

My name is Amanda and I’m 24 years old. I usually go by the online alias of Icesis (though it seems more people are stealing my name these days). I sometimes have a lot to say, other times I don’t. My life is pretty boring. I think my biggest issue is I have a hard time committing and sticking to this. The one thing I’ve stuck with, is my fiancé Dale – whom I have been with for 8 years. I tend to fall out of doing things, feel really down about it and can’t get back into doing what I do.

I’ve decided that I’m going to make a commitment this year. I’ve commited myself to the 2014 Relay for Life with my fantastic team, Tina’s Tigers! I’ve decided since I do have some followers on here, and some readers they may wish to help with my cause. This relay will take place in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia on June 6th at 7pm until June 7th at 7am. Donations can be pledged to me on my profile page. All donations are welcome, big or small. I usually wouldn’t ask something like this, but I feel that this cause touches everyone. So please consider donating in my cause and help me meet and exceed my goal! Every donation helps my team meet their goal as well. Our team is looking to raise $10,000 this year for the relay. We will be doing all sorts of different fundraisers and working hard to make this goal. Dale’s also participating and his page is found here.
