}040{ Julep – Maven Welcome Box – The Unboxing!

First off, I sincerely apologize for any of you who watch this video. Secondly, I apologize with the shitty angle.. the only camera I have to work with is my iPhone and was doing this by myself. Hopefully in the future I will have a better means to ‘revealing’ these boxes.

So, this is my initial package I received as my ‘freebox’. I had selected to add on an item (and I apologize for saying plural items in this video – I forgot which one I had picked additional items for ;)) I received and recorded this video on April 25th. I had originally signed up on April 16th, and the order shipped on the 17th/18th. I had paid for the 2-4 business day delivery (which was $5.99 vs $4.99 for 5-10 days) Technically, I received it later than 2-4 business days but it’s not a big deal – it still arrived very quickly!

Without further ado, here is the video unboxing I made!

So, let’s go over the lovely items that are included in this box.

Rock Star Hand Crème
So far my first impressions of this product is that it works really well. It has a faint perfume smell, but it’s very light and smells nice. I find it a bit greasy to put on but find that once it dries it doesn’t leave any greasy residue or anything. Leaves my hands really soft.

Might Nail & Cuticle Serum
This seems like it would be really nice for people with issues with their cuticles. I find for me that it did help soften them and they don’t seem as destroyed as they once were. I’ve only used this for three days, and am on and off with it. 

Myrtle
This is such a nice apple red. I really enjoy this color and find that it applies nicely if done in light coats. Otherwise it dries with random parts being darker than others

Florence
This color is a peach tinted white. It’s not quite beige. I find it very clean and would consider this a nice color for nails of a bride. It needs to be applied thick, otherwise it is semi-opaque and usually streaks.

Buffer Blocks
These came in my box as a nice little sample. They seem to work nicely. I don’t often buff my nails, but I had used them to try to shape and clean up my nails after polishing and they worked nicely.

I currently have my nails done with both Florence & Myrtle. The flash has washed out the red a bit, but I really like them! Be sure to check them out.
