}059{ August Ipsy Bag
Welcome to my first edition of Ipsy unboxing! I was pretty excited to start receiving their products. Though I had hoped to get in sooner, but their process is a bit weird.
So generally, you sign up and you’re put on a waiting list. You can invite people to try and get off the list. So one of my co-workers signed up using my link, but it didn’t bump me off the waiting list. I waited a couple days and contacted them. It took a few days before I heard back, but by the point that I did I had already got off the waiting list but their Facebook dealie, where you invited a bunch of people and it automatically dropped you off the waiting list. Which sucks, because I hate harassing people to be able to get something.
So I missed July’s (which included Benefit items) and ended up with Augusts! It was sad to have to wait a month for something I really wanted, but ah well! C’est la vie.
So, without further ado, please watch the unboxing below:
Included in this bag:
Beauty Schooled bag: This cute little plastic make up bag will remind you of school. It smells like your old school supply case for school. Go 90’s kids!
Urban Decay – Perversion Mascara This isn’t a bad mascara, but isn’t one I’d buy. It’s a bit heavy and sticky when applied. It only took a few mins to dry, but it wasn’t my favorite. It looks nice though, and is a true black mascara. So if you’re interested, try it out.
Coastal Scents – Forever Blush Sample Duo: These are nice feeling blushes. I didn’t actually use them, but I swatched and tested on my hand. They’re very silky and blend well. I think if I was big on blush, I’d probably try these out again.
Jersey Shore Sun – Mongongo Lip Conditioner: This is a nice lip conditioner. I usually don’t use these types of lip balms, and I was skeptical because it included mango. But it has a nice flavor and texture. Left my lips feeling really soft. It has the addictive nature to it that makes you feel like you need to keep adding it over time.
Lord & Berry – Silk Kajal Kohl Eye Pencil: This was terrible. I hope not all Lord & Berry products are like this, but I’d be skeptical to try another. This pencil looked like it has a lot of promise. It says silk and is kajal, so you figure it would have applied smoothly. Wrong. It was very broken apart, and just wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t recommend this product.
Paula’s Choice Skincare – Clear Ultra-Light Daily Mattifying Fluid SPF 30+: Several people at work praise Paula’s Choice Skincare. I haven’t used enough of it to make a decision. This moisturizer isn’t bad. It leaves my skin soft, but it smells like sunscreen. It is also not lying when it says fluid. It’s almost like water how liquidy it is. I probably wouldn’t buy it, but we’ll see if I notice any changes!
